Nahir'hwiua Hwitai Project Overview
The goal of this project is to provide as thorough a resource on subjects Romulan as possible, from language to culture and everything in between.
Information here is drawn from Diane Duane's "Rihannsu" series of books, as well as TV-canon (TOS, TNG, DS9) materials. Though these alone provide a wealth of information, they still leave much unexplored; many things are mentioned but not elaborated upon; such things, for example the Farmer's Festival mentioned in The Romulan Way, are hinted at in the vaguest of mentions; we have worked on developing these, and other things.
Much of the material here will be presented in such a way as to make it most easily usable for roleplayers playing Romulans on MUSHes or elsewhere; however, it is hoped that the information here will be just as useful and interesting to others as well, be they writers, or anything else.
Much of the cultural, military and religious details presented here were established in the process of roleplay at the "Among The Stars" MUSH and other MUSHes; as such, it is often a collaborative effort difficult to break down into a "who-did-what" categorisation. Therefore, we would like to thank in advance all those players who have helped in any way, including by simply playing a Romulan character, extending all the way to providing their views on what it means to be Romulan.
